Board members:

Class of 2009 – Don Aikens, Barbara Roberts, Jim Dowler

Class of 2010 – Helene Kalfuss, Milt Levinson, Jacque Wachs

Above elected for three year terms by club board, plus two ex-officio – current club president & immediate past president = nine voting, two ex-officio (Jacque Wachs & Bob Elsner) and one honorary member (Bud Wein).

Board structure: Jim Dowler, president; Jacque Wachs, secretary; Steve Miller, treas.

Financial advisory committee: David Suss, David Cutter, Jona Acuna, Steve & Jim.

Financial Fund Manager: Chuck Eiser, Smith Barney – Palm Desert

The funds are generated by donations (e.g., Mazur, Norm Rose, Henry Shweid) and fundraisers (e.g., American Heat biker weekend, Tour de Palm Springs carb load).

The funds are managed by an account manager (Chuck Eiser) who is guided by investment principles established by the financial advisory committee and approved by the board for implementation last year.   This policy yields a target figure for distribution based upon the calendar year with the preservation of the corpus as a high priority.  The annual grant request deadline is January 15^th & funds usually distributed within 45 days.
