Community Service:

Rotarians at Work Day:  The Rotary Club of Palm Springs participates in RI's Rotarians at Work Day in April. Projects include assisting the City of Palm Springs Code Enforcement Department in assisting citizens of Palm Springs who are in need and cannot afford to keep their property up to code.  Projects include painting, clearning landscape and debris, minor repairs on their property.   Angel View Crippled Children's Residential Homes - painting the interior of some of their esidential facilities and some landscaping.  Painting at the YMCA, Ice Cream Social for Windsor Court Senior Assisted Living, Palm Springs Library "Children's Day".

Cahuilla Elementary School: Each year our club donates supplies, equipment, books, dictionaries to the Elementary School. Our members donate their time to volunteer in the classroom to assist as tutors and readers for the classes. In 2007 we charted an EarlyAct Club. This group of industrious children raised money through various fundraisers to provide to their community locally and internationally. They certainly are our "future leaders". It has been a pure joy to see them contribute so much.

Raymond Cree Middle School: Our Club chartered a Youth Act Club at Raymond Cree in 2009. We also sponsor an Organic/Sustainable Garden maintained by the students.

Angel View Prom: This will be the sixth year the Rotary Club of Palm Springs will sponsor a party for the residents of Angel View Crippled Children's Foundation. Angel View is a non-profit organization that has been helping physically challenged young people in the Coachella Valley since the early 1950's. The Angel View Prom is held in June. This event is greatly anticipated each year by Angel View as well as our Club. Our club creates an actual Prom scene and all who attend enjoy the music and fun. The Interact Club from Palm Springs High School also attend and assist in the event.

the Great American Clean-Up: We participate each year in the City of Palm Springs Office of Sustainability's Great American Clean Up with projects such as litter pickup in the washes.

We sponsor a Veterans Day Memorial Ceremony in November and participate in Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army in December.
