Vocational Service:

Each year our club has one of the more anticipated club programs "Rotary Career Shadowing Day". In January 2011 students from Palm Springs High School will be assigned to "shadow" members of the Rotary Club of Palm Springs and then be invited to attend our meeting to discuss their experiences and their future goals.

In March 2011 our Literacy and Educational Task Force will sponsor a book drive to support Cahuilla Elementary and Raymond Cree Middle Schools. Annually, the Club donates dictionaries to 3rd graders at Cahuilla Elementary and members of the Club volunteer at Cahuilla to tudor students and assist in classrooms.

In Feburary 2011 a 4-way Speech Contest competition will be held at Palm Springs High School and the winning student will be sponsored by our Club to move on to the District level.

Club members are encouraged to give a "Vocational Minute".  This is an opportunity for members to talk about their vocation and their accomplishments.
